Belief Notes: Kalopsia is not someone who believes in some kind of mystical, ‘grand creator’ or a Deity that created the earth by design. Instead, her beliefs are aligned with that of Gaianism.

The term describes a philosophy and ethical worldview which, though not necessarily religious, implies a devotion to earth as a superorganism. Followers typically approach the philosophy with the perspective that you should honor the Earth, reduce or soften the human impact on the planet, and to be respectful of all life on it - which extends to animal and plant life as well as humans.

That said, she will not vocally discuss her beliefs unless prompted. Even then, if the topic is being discussed with someone who has different views than she does, Kalopsia will not disregard or disrespect that person’s beliefs simply because she doesn’t agree with it. Not only does she find it incredibly offensive when people do this, but she believes that deliberately pointing out flaws or inconsistencies within someone’s chosen religion is a very mentally stunted approach to have.

However if someone tries to discredit her own beliefs, while she will try to handle the matter civilly at first, she is not afraid to give them a taste of their own medicine and do the same thing back if they do not relent with their hurtful words. This has, on one occasion, resulted in her getting suspended from school because the careers guidance counsellor said her beliefs were fictional and childlike.

When deciding who to vote for, Kalopsia will examine each party’s manifesto in order to establish who will provide fair trade, support to workers, personal freedom and focus on improving society. She wants a government that is not afraid to evolve, that is inclusive, multicultural and is willing to bring in new features in order to improve the state of her country. Most importantly, she wants to be a part of a system where you are rewarded for hard work and not what class you were born into.
